I thought it was poor as well.

I'm pleased you agree. I wasn't going to mention it as i didn't want to appear argumentative.

I have a feeling that you and I are the only two people who don't like it. It seems a very well liked film by both horror and non horror fans alike.

Shredder (2003)

A group of coeds break into an abandoned ski lodge for a weekend of partying and heavy powder. Before long the bodies start to pile up and they soon realize they are being stalked by a psychotic skier.

A seen it all before slasher with some surprisingly decent acting, one or two inventive kills and a female cast who all ticked the no nudity clause on their contract.

Essentially a tirade that snowboarders are hogging and spoiling the ski slopes, Shredder is worth a watch if you come across it for a couple of quid.

Don't bother with the panned and scanned UK print, the US MGM release is a fine 16:9 ratio.

Speaking of MGM, just wait until they fob it off on 88 Films or Arrow and everybody pretends it's a classic of the genre, second only to The Burning.

I don't know, I nearly peed my pants both with both joy and fear when I spotted the ending of The Drop of Water segment in Black Sabbath in The Babadook, but I do recall seeing NOTLD on quite a few times within films.

Add me as another who was far from enthralled by The Mist.

If you have the BD/DVD with the monochrome version, watch that as it feels like a different film – I prefer it to the colour one, and I remember Frank Darabont saying the black-and-white version is his preferred one as well.

I prefer the monochrome version, it masks some of the dodgy CGI and is more atmospheric.

It feels more like a paranoid thriller from the 1960s than something from the 21st century.
