Observe And Report - Seth Rogan comedy that aims for dark and edgy but then forgets to be funny. Rogan plays a Mall Cop with serious personality issues that almost raise a smile at first but soon become irritating. The plot of trying to catch a serial flasher sounds far funnier than anything that actually transpires. In fact I came very close to switching this one off.

It's got a dope track by a Prog rock band called Patto on it though. The track's called "the man".

i was confused by Observe and Report. There were some outstanding bits init such as Rogan vs cops and that ****ed up shock ending, but the majority of the film was dire. Jody Hill has tried to replicate Taxi Driver but failed miserably, the only other redeeming feature is Anna Farris, i have a place in my heart for her which is why i watched it...

I just watched DEATH WALKS ON HIGH HEELS and found it to be an excellent giallo. What made it different was the action jumped to England.

And after much musing about buying a Stelvio Cipriani cd,I found one in the boxset! (Hadn't been opened for over a year!)

And it includes the superb music for WHTDTYD?

I quite enjoyed Observe and Report but its no where near as good as Jody Hills first film The Fist Foot Way Danny McBride is fantastic in it!!!!

Just seen the Stepfather remake.
Was alright, pretty entertaining. Had its problems and cliches but I was expecting that.
Not seen the original so not sure if the ending was the same but it was a big cliche and predictable. That and the toned down violence even in the so called "unrated" version let the movie down.

I thought it was better then Sorority Row.

The original Stepfather wasn't that violent either apart from one scene, although it would probably still get an 18 today.

Jody Hill's also behind the masterpiece that is Eastbound and Down!

I too liked Observe and Report, I like how dark it gets and how mentally unstable the characters are - all of them! Ha.

I like Eastbound And Down. Not seen The Foot Fist Way yet, but it is on my very long rental list.

Observe And Report sort of redeems itself a little for me towards the end but not enough to save the film as a whole. I appreciate Seth Rogan was going all out for an unsympathetic character but I just didn't find the film that funny. Maybe it shouldn't be marketed as one. I found the Gag reel had more laughs.

It's definately the weakest product Jody Hill has put out, no doubt about it.
Danny Macbride's cameo was the best thing about it for me! The man's a legend.
