Unfortunately the poodle only makes an appearance right near the end.

The film has an interesting premise:

"Children turned into zombies wreak havoc in a coroner's building with just a burned-out psychic, an experienced cop and two coroners to stop the madness."

but is kind of over as it only starts to get going in many ways. There is a lot of awkward back-and-forth between the cops and the psychic near the beginning and it is meant to be a horror-comedy but fails at both really. On the plus side, the make-up effects of the zombie children is pretty good in a Tales from the Crypt kind of way and there are some creepy scenes in the morgue as well as some visions by the psychic of the dead children. Oh, and there's the poodle of course. It's worth a watch and certainly better than average but I can't really rate it more than 6/10.

I'll let you argue between yourselves who's the psychic and who's the poodle.

Dreadful I only managed about 30 minutes, no redeeming qualities want so ever, I'm really begins to think that Fulci made more dreadful movies that decent ones 3.2/10

Excellent, the complete opposite of Sodomas ghost, good acting, creepy atmosphere, good direction and sets with a great twist ending. Not hard to see that this would of influenced films that followed like alien. 10/10

Enjoyable bit of early 80s cheesy scifi/ fantasy, about TV presenter and Handyman(played by Richard Hatch better knowing as Apollo from the original Battlestar Galactica ) that are transported to a alternative dimensions and end up battle an evil warlord played by the always enjoyable to watch John Saxon. 6.8/10

Next up tonight

Went to Leicester Square Odeon to see The H8full Eight in all its 70mm glory, really enjoyed the film had avoided any spoilers and such like, the heating wasn't working very well so fell like we was in the snow, but basically if you like and enjoy what Tarantino does you'll enjoy this slow burner of a film, if your not into him this maybe isn't the right film for you.

KUNG FU KILLER

Donny Yen is banged up in prison for killing a fellow martial artist in a duel, meanwhile someone is killing off martial art masters on the outside. Who can the police use to track the killer?

This is a lot of fun if you enjoy people kicking and punching the shit out of each other with little plot to get in the way. Recommended.

THE BORN LOSERS

A biker gang terrorise a coastal town with violence and rape until Billy Jack takes them down. This is the first Billy Jack film and it is a strange mix of scuzz and stoic cowboy hat wearing. Recommended.

Red Heat (1988) More 80's action from the 'Governator'. Although this ones not as much fun as 'The Running Man' and 'Commando'.

A couple of 'Northmen' pictures and incidentally a Tony Curran double bill:

The 13th Warrior (1999) I know this had a troubled production but I quite like this one.

Beowulf & Grendel (2005) This was a disappointment I was hoping for more.

Shameless #32
Almost Human (1974) Great movie. Like most of these Shameless titles this was my first time seeing it.

First time viewing of this one and i enjoyed it quite a bit not just for the obvious reasons the location was beautiful and the plot is interesting enough but lets be honest its the sleaze that keeps this one ticking over and believe me there is plenty of that way more than i expecting. This one felt like it was the gore that was cut and not the sex always seems to cut away when someone is killed but when someone gets naked we really get up close and personal very up close and very personal. The one scene that had me in stitches was when it was the turn of the hotel owner to get in on the action he looked like he had not eaten for a week

I would recommend Sister of Ursula to anyone who loves some murder in their sleaze flicks. I was expecting it to be a Giallo with some bush here and there but i got the reverse a bush film with some Giallo here and there

I went in to this one blind and if my girlfriend was not here watching it with me i may just have come out the same way i went in
