Amock Train is great stuff. Mucho fun. Well at least i think so.

Have you got the Shriek Show dvd?

I managed to pick it up when SS discs were ten a penny for a couple of quid new and delivered.

By the way. That last post might actually be the longest post ever!

When I first saw that when I was younger I found that bit incredibly disturbing and was totally with the female character, but now when I watch it that bit is pretty funny. The whole film is pretty funny to me now, as intended by Hooper.

It was my first time watching it and enjoyed it a great deal - could have been a contender for the occult Top 10 Tuesday a couple of weeks ago.

I don't own it at present, but would certainly pick it up at a later date if the price was right.

Really? I didn't think it was that long! I guess the image codes themselves make for a hefty wall of text.

RESPECTABLE: THE MARY MILLINGTON STORY

Essential viewing for Cult Labbers and fans of British grot everywhere. This excellent documentary follows the life and career of Britain's first and greatest porn star in great detail with interviews from family, friends and veterans of the British softcore scene.

Of real interest to the more scuzzy Labbers, you know who you are, the film contains several hardcore scenes from Mary's pre-softcore days.

Highly recommended and playing on Netflix prior to it's DVD release in May.

CASUALS

Documentary on the 80s football terrerce driven fashion, one of the only youth cults not driven by music. Excellent stuff.

Perhaps one day they will make a film about the lost 70s/80s fashion...the soul boy...who seems to have been removed from the history of British fashion.

I think that scene in particular demonstrates why TCM is a smarter film than it may first appear. But yeah the whole thing is the blackest of comedies. I'll have to get around to watching part 2. I've only had it for about ten years.

Awesome. Mary used to live not far from me. She is buried with her mother in the churchyard just up the road. Many years ago, my mate used to live in a house damn near next door. In the night time, we used to project super 8 movies across on to the side of her house. She was in the local papers quite a lot and one time they printed her address in the paper. One of my mates wrote to her and recieved some signed photos back.

A blue plaque is to be put up outside the cinema in London where 'Come Play With Me' was shown constant for four years.
