Been so tempted to pick up the German DVD for Blood And Roses, I haven't seen it for a long time, but I recall really liking it. I seem to be in the minority but I really enjoyed Vadim's segment on Spirits Of Death too.

Dr Who & the Daleks
Funnily enough, I watched it for the first time about a month ago and thought it was interesting viewing. Peter Cushing is a very elderly 'Time Lord' who invents the TARDIS and takes his daughter, her boyfriend, and granddaughter on an accidental trip to a planet destroyed by nuclear war.

The four of them must help out the humanoid survivors against the Daleks, who want to launch another nuclear strike to wipe out the others on the planet who have a serum which allows them to cope with the radiation.

It's a film with some really good imagery, good lines, and chemistry between the main characters, but the Daleks' voices are very annoying. That said, it's an undemanding watch, but one which I ultimately reasonably enjoyed.

It's on my Lovefilm rental queue, and has been for a while, so I'm just waiting for it to be sent out. It's a shame they didn't send the two films out together.
