Here is my review from earlier in this thread - March 2016:

"So, still needing my afternoon nap, I decided to have a go at the 88 Films 'Killjoy Collection'

The first film, 'Killjoy' (2000) is 70 minutes about a ciller klown. It's bottom of the barrel, but it kept my interest

This is followed by 'Killjoy 2: Deliverance From Evil' (2002), which is an awful movie. With a run time just shy of 80 minutes, it seems to be around the 75 minute mark before Killjoy actually shows up! It is not a good film. Oh, in the original, the eponymous villain was played by Angel Vargas, now he is played by Trent Haaga (who went on to write 'Deadgirl' and 'Toxic Avenger 4' amongst other movies). 'Killjoy 2' is a very poor film

After a break of 8 years, 'Killjoy 3' was released (2010), and after the hideous movie that was part 2, I wasn't expecting very much...but time is a great healer, and this was a very good film. Killjoy is back with some new chums (Punchy, Freakshow and Batty Boop [who must save a fortune on washing powder, because she is naked throughout the film, just wearing body paint]). This film features college students being dragged thru a mystic mirror onto another dimension - a not particularly novel idea admittedly, but an agreeable timewaster

Killjoy returned in 'Killjoy Goes To Hell' (2012), where he is on trial in Hell for failing to be scary. Again, it is a surprisingly good film"
can you just skip 2 and go to 3 or do you need to watch 2 to understand?

I agree with Susan's assessment of the Killjoy films – they seem to benefit from adding a comedy/self-referential element rather than trying to be straight horror films.

From memory, I think the third instalment was more or less a stand-alone film and could be watched in isolation. However, if you try this and are lost within the first 10 minutes, take the disc out and watch the second film or read up on the IMDb your Wikipedia to find out what you have missed.

Susan's review does make me want to check out parts 3 and 4.

I'll have a look see if the box set is still a fiver on 88's website.

Hellmaster (1992)
Mad scientist uses homeless as guinea pigs for experimental drug then vanishes after lab burns. 20 odd years later, he returns with his monstrous servants and proceeds to kill and use his drug on students. now a ragtag group must stop him from creating an army of homicidal freaks.
i'll give it some credit, whenever john saxon is on the screen he gives an over the top performance. the soundtrack is good and some of the make up is quite decent for low budget. on top of that the premise is rather intriguing. however the way film is edited and the lack of lighting is a kick in the nuts, especially when there seems to be a gory kill and it's too dark to see a damn thing - mind you it's a hardgore dvd so quality wise you can't expect anything less.

Strange Behaviour (aka Dead Kids)
film is set in a small town where schoolkids are being murdered and it seems to be linked to the college, the chiefs son signs up for some experiments to make some money.
while not being subtle in the premise. the film is quite good, the acting is fine, the kills are ok and the soundtrack by Tangerine Dream is great.
6/10
