I'm surprised you were slightly nonplussed by it as I hadn't read any reviews and was unaware of any hype surrounding it, and even who the lead actors were!

Thinking about it now, it's probably the film with the most intense and scary sequences I've seen at the cinema since The Descent. I recognise that's probably very high price, but that's how I feel about 18 hours after watching it for the first, and so far only, time.

Totally different to the majority of movies in this thread but I've been on a bit of a Disney binge lately. I'm challenging myself to watch every Disney movie in order (no time limit though - I still need all out gore in my life!).

So far I've watched...
  • Snow White
  • Pinocchio
  • The Reluctant Dragon
  • Fantasia
  • Dumbo
  • Bambi
  • The Three Callaberos
  • Saludos Amigos

Really interesting - if super nerdy. It's great to re-watch some of these movies as a grown up (apparently I'm one...). Wonderful films.

Also, been making my way through the Godzilla Millennium movies. Nice contrast

I'm a HUGE Disney fan! I actually seem to love most of them now as an adult. Fantasia is still one of my favourite films of all time! I even have a Silly Symphonies tattoo.

No way! You've got to show us now...

Fantasia was great - especially the dinosaur segment. I was never a big fan of that film as a kid, but it's certainly grown on me.

Here it is!

Fantasia is definitely a film that is so much better as an adult!

YES! The Skeleton Dance - wonderful cartoon, Argento. That's one heck of an awesome tattoo. I thought you meant you had a tattoo of the Three Little Pigs or something.

Maybe we could have a Disney movie thread...?
