Thanks for that, Slicer. I think I Stand Alone is one to check out as I think Irreversible is a brilliant piece of work. As for Gummo, it'll probably have to wait as I have a huge pile of unwatched discs!

2046 - which was a stuggle to get through. And I'm used to slow paced Asian art-films. Sharktopus - which wasn't a struggle to get through. Cheesy good fun with knowingly bad CGI which is better than good CGI that thinks it better than it is. |

I really really liked 2046, Wong Kar Wai is pretty much THE greatest Asian director if you ask me. I think CHUNGKING EXPRESS is his masterpiece. Christopher Doyle's cinematography is breathtaking.

just watched Tron: Legacy and i have to say it was amazing, stunning to look at and made more sense than the original. The Blu-Ray of this is fantastic. Really looking forward to seeing the original on blu now...

cant believe you thought hobo with a shotgun was nothing special but tron was amazing for me was the complete opposite, thought tron was just the usual mainstream type of SF film nothing really bad about but nowt good either just kind of meh.

it's a nostalgia thing for me with Tron, enjoyed Hobo but thought it was little over the top, i understand that's what the point is, but kinda felt a little let down by it. Rutger Hauer was great though.
