yeah it's all over the place and hated by critics but it's just that that makes me love it and makes remember 1995 and the films that came from studios back then, another over the top hated film is Pauly Shore's Bio Dome which again i absolutely love.

One Dark Night aka Mausoleum (1983),this managed to creep me out at times. Decent supernatural (teen) horror with a nice late 70's/early 80's vibe. Still have to watch disc 2 of the Shriek Show dvd which has the workprint, lots of extras as well!

After reading Gojirosan's post from a couple of weeks ago I watched "Mulberry Street". I totally loved it. The story built up nicely and the acting was excellent. Can't wait to see "Stakeland" now (if it's as good as I've heard then Jim Mickle is a name to look out for). Also watched "Doghouse". Surprisingly good. The zombies were great, there was some good gore and some genuinely funny moments. |

I think I'll rent them once I've seen Sabata and see if they're worth buying. They're less than four quid each, but that's money that could perhaps be spent on something better -- we'll see.

Watched the new version of "True Grit" last night, sadly though it looked great and was well acted, I couldn't understand half of what was said due to universal mumbling and a rag tag collection of accents |

At the womans urging, I watched a Ryan Reynolds romantic drama called "Definitely, Maybe" yesterday. To be honest, I enjoyed it! It stays away from the irratating comedy side of it, and the majority of the film (like, 95% of it) is from a male view/stance. A standard charismatic performance from Reynolds, a great script and a believable lead that I could actually relate to meant that I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would definitely recommend it! I was dreading yesterday afternoon, but it turned out alright! |
