Listening to a lot of old school electronic music at the moment, and I would highly recommend Roland Kayn's dense proto-Industrial work Simultan: Cybernetic Project for 1-5 Rooms - from 1974. It originally came as a triple LP and can be downloaded (legally, in mp3 and FLAC) at the UBU Web archive

Yeah, that Taj Mahal film is a gem.... Listening to The Fall tune now Hamish. I always feel I should love The Fall more, but I find them exhausting. I've tried to tackle their Hydra-headed beast of a discography many times but I never get too far into it. Having said that Grotesque is one of my all time favourite LPs - an album I can listen to from start to finish, pure brilliance...

ach, you either "get" the gruppe or you dont i find. this is actually a semi cover of a metal tune btw, not that they need to sponge off other genres for riffs imo.
and G(AFTG) has 2 of my all time favourites on it.
have you heard Hex Enduction Hour btw? thats got Hip Priest etc....
