For those who say that 60's Who was sexist, with the female characters just falling over and making pots of tea

Tina Packer as Anne Travers in 'The Web Of Fear'

It's thought that this character was a 'trial run' for Liz Shaw

Weren't they just stereotypes or supposed ill judged attempts at humour from The Five Doctors rather than anything that actually happened in 60's stories?

Upcoming entries in The Classic 'Doctor Who' DVD Release Guide include:

The Romans - 'Girls Girls Girls: The 60's'
The Three Doctors - 'Girls Girls Girls: The 70's'
Paradise Towers - 'Girls Girls Girls: The 80's'

all of which examine the changing attitudes towards the female companions over the decades

Upcoming entries? The Romans didn't come out until 2009. You are currently in 2001.
