That looks a lot better with moving the master and being the right one.

Now watching some first doctor with the unearthly child.

In terms of the correct Master it looks better but in terms of artwork i think it's horrendous.

Daily Mirror rumour alert!

Rumour: Series 11 Features “Educational” Episodes in US & India

"New Doctor Who boss Chris Chibnall is keen to make the show as educational as it is entertaining – just as it set out to be in the 1960s.

With that in mind he has embarked on a mission for the Doctor’s new friends Ryan and Yasmin to be transported back in time to witness historical events that are particularly relevant to their own ethnic backgrounds.

The next series of 10 episodes, which hits BBC1 in the autumn, will see three stories set in the future, three in the past, and the rest in the present day."

From Joe Orton's diaries, February 5th 1967 ('The Underwater Menace', episode 4):

"Yesterday I was watching an episode of Dr Who and I spotted a little boy in that called Frazer Hines."

And for April 15th 1967 ('The Faceless Ones', episode 2):

"Watched Dr Who on television. Rubbish, but there's a young boy in it who is worth looking at... I mentally undress him. I'm sure the BBC would be horrified if they realised that even a science fiction series can be used erotically."

He also overheard two women on a bus talking about an unknown Dalek story (but presumably it was 'The Evil Of The Daleks'). One thought it was too far-fetched. The other agreed: 'You know where you are with human beings, don't you,' she said.

Finally, in January 1967 an excerpt from Orton's play Loot is televised. The director was a young Peter Moffat (State of Decay, The Visitation, Mawdryn Undead, The Five Doctors, The Twin Dilemma and The Two Doctors). He told Orton how much he'd like to have a go at doing Entertaining Mr Sloane on TV too, although nothing came of this because Rediffusion were too timid to broadcast a play about a man and woman competing over a young man!

Ah, he's nae feart that Orton. The diaries for me are partly just that ... and also some real flights of fancy. An extension of his work if you like ...
