That and the rest of that season. I've got the Survival novel, but I'm waiting to see the episode itself.

I've always been a little underwhelmed by Ambassadors of Death.

I've not seen it since i bought the vhs release and am watching the dvd's one episode per week as they were originally shown rather than a full story in one go.

I'm two episodes down the line and basically bugger all has happened that couldn't have been made as a single exciting episode.

The Mind of Evil is easily the best Pertwee story by the way.

Of the Pertwee era i'm hard fetched to choose between Spearhead From Space, Inferno, The Claws of Axos, The Three Doctors, The Green Death and The Time Warrior.

Re: The Regenerations box set

When it was first announced, I found myself puzzled over why they would include 'The Tenth Planet', only to re-release it again a few months later

I am now wondering if the edition in the box set is a 'teaser', and when it is finally released as a stand-alone thing, it contains the actual final episode, instead of the animated one

I'll check that one out, but Inferno is my favourite Pertwee so far.

I think Liz Shaw's boots are the biggest draw for Ambassadors.

Okay here's my thoughts on Tom Baker's first 4 seasons and some "other" episodes. I've not seen little of his later work apart from the likes of the excellent City of Death, so I'll group those I've seen after season 15 together. Okay-

Season 12-

. Robot: 10/10
. The Ark in Space: Not seen
. The Sontaran Experiment : 6/10
. Genesis of the Daleks: 10/10
. Revenge of the Cybermen: 10/10 (I'm well known for controversial choices , though Genesis better)

A good season and start for Tom Baker and Philip Hitchcliffe.

Season 13 (I like these ones )-

. Terror of the Zygons: 10/10
. Planet of Evil: 10/10
. Pyramids of Mars: 10/10
. The Android Invasion: 6/10
. The Brain of Morbius: 8/10
. The Seeds of Doom: 10/10

One of Doctor Who's greatest achievements. Almost completely perfect.

Season 14-

. The Masque of Mandragora: Not seen
. The Hand of Fear: Not seen
. The Deadly Assassin: 8/10
. The Face of Evil: Not seen
. The Robots of Death: Not (unfortunately) seen
. The Talons of Weng-Chiang: 10/10

Only seen 1/3 of this season so can't really judge it. But Talons is one of my favourites.

Season 15-

. The Horror of Fang Rock: 8/10
. The Invisible Enemy: Not seen
. Image of the Fendahl: 4/10 (It's been ages but I remember being bored)
. The Sun Makers: Not seen
. Underworld: Not seen
. The Invasion of Time: 7/10

Not my favourite season based on what I've seen, but it's not bad.

Now the only other ones I've seen are...

. Destiny of the Daleks: 10/10
. City of Death: 10/10
. Full Circle: 6/10

What are your favourites guys?

Oh and please give feedback on some of the episodes I've not seen, Particularly for The Ark in Space, Robots of Death, all of Key to Time and Logopolis.

Some of your scoring seems a bit high. Robot is never a ten. I thought you were taking the piss giving Revenge a ten.

Image of the Fendahl is brilliant.

I wouldn't give any story ten personally.

Excellent stories both. Robots scared me to death as a child.

A fairly average season to be honest. I love The Ribos Operation, but every story after it is weak. The Stones of Blood is superb for two episodes then turns into a mess of a sci fi tale.

Not bad if you can follow it. The first story of this trilogy The Keeper of Traken is far better though.
