At 55 is he one of the oldest to take on the role? How does he fit age wise into the others?

So joint oldest with Hartnell then? Bloody hell he looks a lot better than Hartnell did! I assumed he was a lot older.

From the youngest Doctor to the joint oldest. I like that.

My initial worry (if worry is the right word) is that as he is such a well known actor how long will he stay in the role?

Especially as he also has a lead role in The Three Musketeers for the BBC.
