Very pleased with this anouncement. Should be an interesting run so, here's to 2014!

The worst thing about the whole program (apart from Rufus Hound!), was Zoe Ball explaining the regeneration. Honestly? Why the hell would anyone be watching who didn't know what a regenaration is?

I thought everyone knew about this none-conspiracy by now.

really happy with this, hopefully the program can grow up a little now and get back to being a semi serious drama. As much as I liked Matt Smith I did find his manic state very tiring at times so hopefully the new doctor will at least be calmer and a bit more uptight without the need to hitch a ride on the back of a dinosaur to appear cool.

Hopefully some of the script writers will also up their game now as series 7 was very hit and miss for me with the only stand out episode being the last one

Pretty much sums up my feelings also. Though I loved Cold War and The Crimson Horror along with The Name of the Doctor.
