You clearly didn't see An Adventure in Space and Time or you wouldn't still be banging on about something from years ago.

But yeah, AAiTaS was brilliant and a genuinely gripping docu-drama. I'd be up for David returning as 1 in character so to speak.

And you bang on about how bad Time and the Rani is, despite it being from 1987. :P

I hated John Simms' interpretation of The Master Why couldn't he have stayed as Derek Jacobi??

On the other hand, I thought An Adventure In Time And Space was wonderful.

Totally agree on the Derek Jacobi point.

I must admit that The End of Time isn't a story i will be rushing to pop in the dvd player anytime soon.

I didn't hate it though. I sincerely don't hate Time and the Rani either. Every story has its merits no matter how small. I loved the Tetraps and the outdoor location work in this story.

I didn't like The Rings of Akhaten as a story but thought the opening fifteen minutes very good. Nightmare in Silver was pretty poor and i can't think of anything good from it. (I missed the opening twelve minutes due to watching football).

Fair point. I just can't remember getting so angry at the show in the entire 10 years i've been a fan, as I was with TEoT. Just, urgh.

But I still don't get the hate for Smith. I have found him an infinitely more entertaining doctor than some (who shall remain nameless).

On a positive note, i'll be sitting down to watch The Talons of Weng Chiang tonight, in one big go. So even if the Day of the Doctor is bas,mI can at least say I celebrated my way.

Who hates Smith? (Except Demoncrat)

Personally i think he's very good, unfortunately, as with McCoy, he's had some poor material to work with.

If you don't mind me asking Hawk, how did you become a fan age 8? Its genuine interest, as back in 2003 there was no tv Who and it wasn't announced until late in that year that it would be coming back.

A VHS of Remembrance of the Daleks I played to breaking point. Also had a double VHS of The Silurians but only the second one ever worked.
