Pretty Little Liars. Intentionally or not, the season 3 Halloween episode came across a as a great little homage to Terror Train! The bodies just keep piling up on this show!

I started watching the first series of American Horror Story last night.

Only two episodes in and it's not outstanding but it shows promise with it's S&M weirdness.

I really wouldn't want Jessica Lange as my neighbour. I bet the postman doesn't even ring once!

I've also started Gerry Anderson's U.F.O.

Mainly because i bought that book on Amazon for £6.99 as a blind buy before i'd even seen an episode.

I like it. It's mixture of live action and model work is seamless and it has a strong 70's tv cast including Ed Bishop, George Sewell and Gabrielle Drake. Oh and is just as fetishistic as American Horror Story if not more. Witness the space station crew for evidence.

You really don't need the new Network Bluray at £70. These episodes look stunning on ITV's dvd.

The problem is that every season is different to the one before it and some are better than others. The first season is ok but there are better ones. The Third for example is great.

Funnily enough, I am three episodes from the end of the fourth season (Freak Show). It is not as good as Murder House, Asylum or Coven, but I did like the way one of the episodes ties into Asylum, so continuing with the idea that they are all part of the same 'universe'.

I'll probably finish it tonight and begin Hotel tomorrow.

Just watched the very first episode of Downton Abbey.

Excellent stuff. A lot of characters but so well written that they all have a nicely rounded personality straight away which is a rare trick among, well anything really. I love the fact that the domestic servants are far snobbier than the aristocratic family they serve.

I can see i'm really going to like this.
