Invincible

Strong opening episode. Meanders a little in the middle, haven't read it so could just be being faithful ahem, pulls together nicely.
Recommended.

I finished off the fifth series of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. last night. Following what i thought was a shaky first few episodes set in space on an almost destroyed future Earth it settled down to become a cracking adventure as Phil Coulson and other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and allies try to save the world from an apocalyptic future at the hands of The Destroyer of Worlds.

As a season finale the last episode was both exciting and sad with deaths of team members and also Coulson himself and although actor Clark Gregg returns in two different roles in the final two series i think i'll be bowing out as from what i understand it will be a more space exploration set show and this ending was the perfect end for me.

Also the fact that the final two series haven't been released on dvd....

Made it to Preacher S4.
Some divergence here (added characters etc) but still basically the plot, do love Pip Torrens' presentation of Starr etc. Roll on the fifth ahem ....

Thought Torrens was excellent in The Crown. A very distinctive and rich voice.

I'll take your word for it D.

Love that the cast is littered with Brits due to the murican lot being reticent about actual acting and stuff.

Wilderness. 1996.

Alice who works in a library hides a secret, once a month she changes into a werewolf, she tries to convince her new partner to believe her and a analyst who believes her story can push his career.

I wasn't sure where to put this as when it was aired, it was shown in two episodes but came across a edited 90 minutes version that does no justice and leaves a few plot holes. Amanda Ooms takes the lead role as Alice while Michael Kitchen plays the therapist and Owen Teale as the new love interest, while Gemma Jones plays the new friend who tries to convince Alice to live with a pack. Recommended if you can get the original two episode instead of this butchered version.

*FYI there is a scene where Alice discusses her childhood in her early teen years, do note the actress is shown fully naked, this may be uncomfortable to some but the actress Catherine Holman was in fact 23 years old*.

Caught the second series of The Tick.

This being the live action one with Serafinowicz.

Starts well enough but then gets bogged down in this "faaaaaaaaaaamily" plotline, which was a bit cloying tbh. The pandering to the fanbase in the last episode really grated as well. Shame. The creator is involved, which is the real crime ie that he okayed this farrago. Sad Demon.
