Absolutely loving The Wild Highway, irreverently disgusting, but brilliantly written by the conflicting duo.

A Million Little Pieces by James Frey, really well written but also really sad. It is apparently a completely true story as well, although Oprah went a bit crazy and disputed it, I have to say I stick on James Frey's side, Ophrah with her expensive designer handbags, shoes and clothes seems a bit ridiculous arguing about the 'truth' of poverty and drug adiction with Frey.

I'm reading Outlaw Masters Of Japanese Film by Chris D. Not read much yet, but the first chapter on Kinji Fukasaku was really interesting.

Just finished Richard Matheson's "Hell House". Decent book. Made me buy the DVD of the film which I haven't seen since VHS days.

Just finished Nileism: the strange course of the blue nile by Allan Brown. as he is a journalist, he is quite opinionated, and i nearly threw the book away after reading the first 3 chapters, but i persevered, and it is a good enough tome about this "enigmatic" band, even if only one member agreed to be interviewed for it! luckily i AM a BN fan, and so have my OWN opinion on the whole "take 20 years to make 4 records" schtick that seems to be the main thread behind any article on the Nile (as we DON'T call them haha). I know it seems like im not really "selling" this book, but something about brown just rubbed me the wrong way initially to the point where HIS personality gets in the way of the story, which is interesting enough hence my dig at the start. HARUMPH! also reading the late JG Ballard's auto biog Miracles Of Life. clearly and precisely written, he can create vivid imagery using a few phrases. just like his fiction in fact. something Brown could learn from
