Time for one of my famous 2 word reviews for Inglourious Basterds:

Loved it!

Drive In Massacre (1977, Stu Segall)
Enjoyed this seedy little film. Even if the print may make Blu ray nuts jump out of the window. It's been a while since I saw a film with prominent police characters....something you can't say about

Bloodsucker Leads The Dance (Alfredo Rizzo, 1975) Why didn't Jean Rollin make this? It certainly gives off a certain vibe. Contains a most unusual ending, imo.

Truck Turner (Jonathon Kaplan, 1973)
Lunacy with a capital L. Hayes is Mack "Truck" Turner, badassss bounty hunter with a Pryor a like sidekick. There is much mayhem. Scatman Crothers plays a pimp. Have never seen so many people get shot in the stomach. Recommended!!

Possession is a fantastic buy on Blu-ray. There is some minor noise in darker scenes but asking around its apparently down to the source materials like I suspected. Apparently the transfer is director supervised and the extras are first rate. I stuck a review up on amazon praising it. If your thinking of buying it then I say go for it.

I echo those sentiments – it's an excellent disc of a horror masterpiece.

"Shadow of the Vampire" 2000

I have tried watching this film on numerous occasions in the past and nevr got very far. Not the film's fault just circumstances. Well no circumstances to stop me tonight and I loved it. Willem Dafoe's Max Schreck almost steals every scene he is in except for the fact that Malkovich's Murnau is a far more "filled in" character.

Thoroughly enjoyed and will watch again and again, 17/10 for the most creative death scene that I've seen!

It's a favourite of mine. Very overlooked and under-rated. It's also absolutely hilarious at times! Defoe was robbed of that Oscar!

Popped along to watch The Wolverine this evening. Great fun and much better than I expected. Perhaps the best superhero film of the summer? Maybe.

Possession

Amazing film, surreal and disturbing. Has to have some of the most bat crazy characters of any movie, top of the list Isabella adjani as Anna a complete and total raving nutter, not just not on this planet she's not even in the same galaxy. Such a shame a masterpeice like this was banned as a video nasty, a true classic. Now in my top 15 films of all time if not the top ten. 10/10

10 points to the first person who can name the movie that uses music from this film and was about teenagers from outer space in the early script drafts
