Another night of no sleep so I got through:

"The Last Airbender"

"Kung Pow: Enter the Fist"

"Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman"

Not necessarily in that order.

"The Last Airbender"
Despite grave warnings of the "terrible" nature of this film I enjoyed it! I've said before I'm easily distracted and this film was a perfect dist...ooh I got a new pen with "Comic Heroes" Mag! Oh yeah, 12/10, but the pen is a 15/10...

"Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman"
A fun animation continuing in the style of "Batman: The Animated Series" from the '90s. Much lighter in tone than that "Dark Deco" series but the same voice actors and similar animation. 15/10 for Senor Bane.

"Kung Pow: Enter the Fist"
Fun with a capital LMFAO! Okay some of the jokes were a bit too forced but there are some stand out set pieces that had me giggling until 6 this morning! 14/10 for the clumsy lady with a single breast (two's too many anyway)!

Jeepers creepers

A lot better than I was expecting, great creature and was not expecting to end how it did. 8/10

Next up sleepaway camp not seen it but I do know of it and its shock ending, was it always a 15 as with what is supposed to be showing at the end I thought it would of rated higher

Had a pretty weird double bill last night.
moon.jpg & holy beast.jpg

Killer's moon

Pretty entertaining in a sleazy 70's sort of way. 4 psychotic mental patients undergoing experimental LSD based therapy escape and go on the rampage and cross paths with a stranded busload of schoolgirls.
Cue murder, rape and bizarre drugged out psycho dialogue. Most of the acting i thought was serviceable but the crazies really put in the effort, thinking they are in a dream state of therapy (but in actual fact tripping).
I'm now thinking about digging out my old VHS copy of 'Alone in the dark' for more lunatic on the loose shenanigans. 7/10

School of the holy beast

Wow, i really enjoyed this. I haven't seen vast amounts of nunsploitation, but this is my new favourite. ( unless you count 'The devils' )
I must confess i have a bit of a thing for nuns, (it's their dirty habits)
Anyway this film is really well made, some absolutely beautiful images, pretty well acted for this sort of thing and has a cool 70's theme ( that sounded as though it belonged in a giallo and reminded me of a tune from 'Daughters of darkness' for some reason).
It follows a young woman who enters a bizarre japanese catholic nunnery to find out what happened to her mother (who died there when she was a nun), but discovers the place to be a pretty sadistic place.
Many of the nuns have sordid secrets that she observes and when she clashes with her superiors their punishments usually consist of topless whippings
Things come to a head, when a Rasputin type figure turns up and proceeds to attempt to work his way through the sisters.
I stumbled across the trailer on you tube one day and impressed by the visuals enough to order this and i'm glad i did.
Worth it alone for the sight of a nun catfight and another brandishing a flick knife. Highly recommended if you like this sort of thing 8/10

Sleepaway camp

Ok but nothing we haven't seen before and better, even though I know who killer is I can say it wouldn't of been hard to figure out who it was, I can see the ended would of been a shock when it came out and no one knew about it, but it was still quite effective. 6.5/10

That is something we are good at here in Holland: making mediocre films.
Except Spoorloos (the original The Vanishing), that was a good one.
