The Ghost Of Frankenstein (1942)
Lon Chaney Jr takes over the role of the Monster and old Ygor has his brain implanted in to (Lon)ster. Classic Universal with a great Frankenstein castle model and the ever reliable Evelyn Ankers.

The Beast Must Die (1972)
An Amicus favorite of mine. One of the first horror films that I saw all the way through when I was but a lad so this film had a special midnight showing last night. "One of you is a werewolf. I know it"!
Excellent.

I went to the cinema on Sunday to see You're Next with absolutely no knowledge of what it was about or expectations as to its qualities (or otherwise).

From the opening section I thought it was going to be a tense and brutal home invasion film but it then became a little confusing as there were some lines which seemed funny and I didn't know whether I was supposed to be laughing or not. Some of the violence was also comical but, again, I didn't know whether this was intentional or not and whether I was watching a horror film or a horror-comedy.

Some of the acting and writing was atrocious but I still enjoyed it for what it was, even though that may not have been in the way the director intended.

Last night I watched G.I.Joe Retaliation.
It was an incoherent pointless mess.
That is all.

I enjoyed that one. It was very much of its time, but still a lot of fun, then again i like backwoods horror films, one of my favourite genres.

Hellraiser: Inferno

Probably the best of the DTV sequels, which is pretty much a bog standard horror/thriller with 2 minutes of Pinhead added. Some good ideas here, namely making use of the Engineer character from the Helbound Heart, and once again a couple of cool looking Cenobites in the Wire Twins.
The series started to go downhill after this one IMO, especially when we get to Hellworld

Keith Lemon: The Movie: - morbid curiosity and Netflix got the better of me with this one. Possibly the most vile, horrible, repulsive, misogynistic, putrid, sickening, effluent film in existence. Like swallowing someone else's vomit for 85 minutes. Would rather watch my parents having sex every day for the rest of my life than cast my eyes over even one more frame of it. URGH.

it's my fault, I know. I honestly didn't think anything could be as bad as the reviews made out

It's a feature film credit, I don't care. It's staying on the CV (for now) . . .
