The Black Cat (1934)
Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff team up for the first time and a great time it turns out to be. Atmospheric from the train journey at the beginning to the famous 'skinning' scene. Classic Universal.

I Don't Want To Be Born (The Monster) (1975)
Savaged by critics on it's release and still a turkey to some. The subject of a baby possessed by a dwarf may sit uneasily with many but it's hard to take any of this film serious. Saying that, the scenes where the Nun tries to exorcise the baby I find quite harrowing.

Free film this weekend on XBox Live and I was dumb enough to watch it No, I don't mean it like that, I mean that at the time my sense of humour was at that dumb "you said Poo! Hurr, hurr!" level and I was well equipped to enjoy the farce that is "Stan Helsing: A Parody" (2009)!
13/10 and an extra 2/10 for the late, great Leslie Nielsen in drag as a waitress. Only two questions, why? AND is it wrong to find older men in drag attractive? Hypothetically speaking of course only I've got this friend...

"Nightbreed" the "Cabal" cut (1990) I won't insult anyone by spouting about this great film nor will I spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it! 20/10 for just being "Nightbreed"! I hated the Amiga game though!

I've just had a looksie an' it's only a DVD player at $35, their cheapest region free Blu-Ray player would work out to about $225 with shipping and a 240 volt PSU! I have been looking at this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-BDPS110...=IWPNY0ZMSZR55
Okay it's only DVD playback that is multi-whereabouts but that'll have to do for now! Has anyone had any experience with this model or, indeed, the sellers, AV Lounge?

Started watching some of those shameless titles I picked up

Torso
Really enjoyed this, a beavy of lovely beauty's end up the prey of a psychopath, lovely scenery and what must be one of the earliest slashers. Great glad to have seen it and have it in my collection 9.5/10

Dellamorte dellamore

Not as good as either the church or stagefright, but a excellent performance from Everett in what has to be the most bat crazy zombie movie I have ever seen, almost slapstick in places. 7.5/10 edit I must of been lucky no audio problems on my disc

Almost human

Very gripping crime/murder caper about the very unlikeable giulio who ends up kidnapping a business mans daughter and ends up on a killing spree, giulio is a repulsive character that has no conscience, grandi play by Henry silva is the tough no nonsense cop on his trail 8/10

Up next night train murders and if enough time who saw her killer

I must pencil Almost Human in for a screening - I have it, but never got around to seeing it. Night Train Murders is excellent I think, dare I say it gives Wes Craven's film a good run for its money...

Just seen Dark Touch!
New Irish evil kid horror which surprised me that I liked it a lot!
It had some good intense death sequences and acting was solid. People may not like the ending but I enjoyed it. 8/10!
