Been having a quiet night in tonight

Only watched one movie though.

Which was Class of Nuke Em High. I'm a troma fan, but I've only just got round to watching it.

I liked it. Had a kind of 80s teen movie feel to it in a weird way.

Giallo a Venezia

Sleazy stuff, chock full of sex and some very nasty violence including a prostitute repeatedly stabbed in her lady bits with lots of blood spurting all over the place, similar to the scene in New York Ripper (a film which this would make a fitting double bill with) more graphic, and trash regular Mariangela Giordano tied naked to a table and having her leg graphically sawn off while she is awake and then stuffed in the fridge! The BBFC would not welcome it with open arms!

I would love to see this get a dvd release as the dvdr's (I also have the XXX version but it doesn't have any english options) I have are not the best.

Would also like to see an official release of this but it's well documented that the owner is asking for REALLY STUPID money for it, you sholud also seek out The Killer is Still Among Us, as it's in a similar vein.

Absolutly Pedro! The dancing is incredible!

Watched Dead Snow last night with some mates. Second viewing of the film, and the first half isn't that great in all honesty, but once the Nazi Zombies show their rotten faces, the film quickly becomes brilliant and a lot of fun! A great way to start a night of poker and Jazz!

I watched DOGHOUSE last night.
Quite good.
In a similar vein to Shaun of the Dead.

Default The Book Of Eli

I've just come back from the cinema. I saw The Book Of Eli and what an awesome film that was. Superb story, wonderful acting and some fantastically violent fight and shoot out scenes. Go see

I wanna see Book of Eli.

Just watched Town Creek aka Blood Creek, the latest straight to dvd horror from Lionsgate. Its about a Nazi who came to the US to look for rune stones as Nazis wanted to use black magic to become the ultimate power.

Was alright movie, had some good effects and some gore. Not too bad for a straight to video title. I quite enjoy occult based movies so thought it was quite cool. Acting was not too bad either.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown

Excellent Ben Johnson performance as ever and some brutal (though not bloody) violence. The trombone murder is genuinely bizarre and surprisingly not out of place (unlike the stupid comedic Deputy) though the film works through atmosphere and jarring brutality. The scene in the diner where the cops discuss the possible identity of the killer is a gem.

I love this film. It's (largely but not entirely) quite close to the facts too. Pierce's semi-documentary style is one I am surprised more film-makers haven't tried.
