Riot (1999, Joseph Merhi)
An ex SAS man battles the IRA in the midst of a city under siege. One may wonder how this patchwork of cliches was financed. Or why. Funny stuff abounds. Gary Daniels. Oirish accents not heard since Blown Away .... did I mention it's also a Xmas film? Also featured a rather mental looking stunt with a biker on fire. Ahem.

Cry Of The Banshee (1967, Gordon Hessler)
Vincent Price hunts witches. But this time Ian Ogilvy aint around ...
A vendetta is enacted against Price's circle. Thought the titles looked Pythonesque btw ... with good reason ... Gilliam did them

The Mummy (2017)

The ONLY good thing about this is Sofia Boutella. What a truly awful film.

*1/2 out of *****

Wonder Woman (2017)

Deserves the praise. Excellent stuff.

**** out of *****

These Final Hours

Pretty good redemption story set in the final hours before most of the world is destroyed by an inferno. This isn't a Syfy Channel cheapo but a rather good Australian film from a couple of years back. It starts out in full on collapse of society and moral norms mode before settling down into a dark emotional drama. It is fairly suspenseful too, given that within the opening minutes the viewer knows that everyone will die one way or another by the end. Worth a look and presently on Netflix.

Well I watched that The Punisher
The Mark Goldblatt one
Written by Boaz Yakin also. So there's a faint Cannony vibe to the mayhem tbh.
The Dolph plays Frank Castle. So high concept it squeaks
All in all
Mr Jane can suck it. There I said it ...

Lol well put Demoncrat, the original was more action than the remake and classic 80s music
Demoncrat, keirarts and trebor8273 like this.
