I thought the image quality was excellent - most notably in the richness of the colours. It was a pleasant surprise to see it looking so good (especially for it's age, as you mentioned).

It's a shame Shogun, which I watched a couple of days later wasn't nearly as good; although much better than the DVD-R I had before, plus the steelbook is fantastic.

I also thought it looked like I imagined it would have looked in the day.
Will finish watching the Peeping Tom bd tonight.

Tonight I have watched the Bay of Blood Blu-ray and From Beyond the Grave on DVD. The Bay of Blood transfer isn't the best you will ever see but it is a vast improvement over the DVD.

Bay of Blood was on the Horror Channel the other night, i unfortunately did not know about it untill four minutes before the end.

Watched british comedy Wild Target which was a bit of harmless fun, Bill Nighy was great and Emily Blunt has great legs. Worth a watch.

In memory of the late great Leslie Neilsen, I watched the ever brilliant Creepshow tonight - is it possible to ever tire from this film? I think not!

Massacre in Dinosaur Valley - a mildly entertaining cannibal/action romp. Love the soundtrack and the purdy laydeez! Michael Sopkiw's commentary is dull as dishwater though.

I have watched tons of flicks lately, but I had to mention the oft-forgotten kitsch space opera The Ice Pirates from 1984. Very funny (both intentionally AND unintentionally) spoof swash-buckling sci-fi low budgeter with some outrageous silliness.

Also, you'll be surprised what a smokin' hot body Angelica Huston had back then!!! These must be the skimpiest costumes of her career!

Hardware (Blu) - Looked gorgeous in HD
Spirits of the Dead (Blu) - Impressed by this one too, and even though it wasn't an Arrow Video release it was nonetheless a very impressive package

Saw the Game starring Michael Douglas last night. Good film, but it takes a while to get going.
