Clash of the Titans (2010) Thought it was more entertaining than the original, which hasn't held up well for me. (I dont mean the cool Harryhausen effects - more so the terrible dialogue and bad story telling).

Also watched Penetentiary - weird Blacksploitation prison movie with the funniest representation of boxing I've ever seen.

Serbian Film is not as bad as they make it out to be.
Only contains 2 scenes that can be disturbing.

Watched

Mordum

Out of curiosity tonight. All I can say is that this is vile, putrid and caters for the lowest of the low. This is not entertainment! I really think that to discuss such filth on a respectable horror forum is a disgrace to Cult Labs. I for one won't mention such sh*t again.

I can see why Mordum would cause a lot of people to have this reaction but to me Mordum is as important as Last house on the left or Texas chainsaw massacre.
I was obsessed with horror/gore when I was younger and spent every penny on mags, posters, videos, books etc but the 90's came and everything when stale for me with crap sequels and movies shredded by the censor. I lost all interest in anything being made and focused on collecting old nasties.
Then I read a list of the sickest movies ever made and sought out Mordum and Murder set pieces. Mordum left me numb in a way only Salo had before.
Took me a while before I watched ANYTHING after that but I realised that there was more to horror than the big budget MTV horrors all gracing the cinemas.

My favourite horrors have always been one's that frightened the crap outta me, disgusted me or one's with great FX and Mordum ticked all of those boxes. It's safe to say that I wouldn't have found cult labs without Mordum as it was through the toetag site that this forum was recommended.

Anyway.......I just watched the Creature from the haunted sea and it is one of the worst films I have ever seen. The creature was hilarious looking, the FX team must have been the Blue Peter double sided sticky tape team. Oh dear!

Though I'm not a fan of "Mordum" it is more than worthy to be discussed on this forum. Sure, it's offensive but I'm guessing that's the point of it. Whether by accident or design it makes people question the motives of the film makers, the fans of the film but ultimately it makes you look at yourself and question your own values and beliefs. Surely this is a good thing.

By total contrast, I watched "Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang" this afternoon with my kids.

I feel like an old man.. last night I watched 'Strangers On A Train' and 'The Vampire Bat'.. great stuff! Strangers was one of the very few Hitchcock moves I'd never seen for some reason. Maybe it was the Tennis part that always put me off but bloody hell, that was superb. Do You Like Hitchcock? I know I do!
