Started off with THE WITCHES (1966) last night, one of my most-watched hammer's. As TheHamish says, it must have been an influence on the wickerman and later pagan / 'witchy' films. Love Joan Fontaine in it, she along with Deborah Kerr are easily my favourite of the classic hollywood leading ladies and its great to see her in a hammer horror, just as it was great to see Deborah Kerr the classic THE INNOCENTS (1961) and the less well known (but extremely good) hammer-like horror EYE OF THE DEVIL (1966). Perhaps they have both done other horror films I'm not aware of ??

Going to watch the Dracula's in chronological order starting tonight I think.

What's everyone's most-watched Hammer then? I think mine must be PLAGUE OF THE ZOMBIES, followed closely by both THE WITCHES, NIGHT CREATURES (CAPTAIN CLEGG) and HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES.
Quatermass 2 or ....& the pit
Plague
Dracula, prince of darkness (the dialogue alone...)
there are more but these are the ones ive seen 10+ times...

Most watched for me would be Quatemass and the Pit, Plague, Dracula POD and Legend Of the 7 Golden Vampires. I'd probably watch Horror of Dracula more if the tops of eveyone's heads weren't chopped off on the DVD. Makes it hard for me to enjoy properly.

Most watched would be Cushing's Frankenstein movies.
He owns the screen in every one.
Demoncrat and Prince_Vajda like this.

Created Woman is my fave. Just love the atmosphere in that one.

Apologies if these have been posted before, but I found some interesting titles for pre-order on HMV via Icon Media -

X The Unknown (2011): DVD: hmv.com

Quatermass Experiment Quatermass 2 Quatermass & The Pit 2dvd (2011): DVD: hmv.com

Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter (2011): DVD: hmv.com

Abominable Snowman (2011): DVD: hmv.com

I definitely need to pick up X The Unknown and The Abominable Snowman, but at these prices I don't mind double-dipping on the others if they have nice art or any interesting special features.

I couldn't find any further info on the Icon website, unfortunately.

Interesting... Although they're probably mixed up about Pit as that's with Optimum (or Studio Canal as they're going to BD renamed). I actually sold my R1 copies of Quatermass 2, X and Abominable Snowman a while back so I'm down with cheap reissues as I'm not prepared to pay the eBay rate. Still have my DD Xperiment and R1 Captain Kronos for the moment...

DD did a good job with extras and nice booklets with the original releases in the UK but all are now in the hands of ebay/amazon sellers asking inflated prices.

X the Unknown is a must buy for me,as i never picked it up originally, i will also replace my Captain Kronos as i accidently lager damaged the sleeve.

At £3.99 it doesn't matter about extras either.

Just noticed Amazon have them priced at £5.99 with a 12th Sept release date., not December as Hmv say. Sure Amazon will knock the price down to compete with HMV.

Bet Hmv sell them at £14.99 in store.

They're 12th September at HMV, too - I think you got your numbers back to front.

I pre-ordered them all from HMV at those prices as it's my birthday in September.

On a completely separate topic, is the Optimum release of The Lost Continent the cut version? Or do I still need to buy the ABUS version for the extra 8 minutes of footage?
