The synopsis for 'The Vanquishers' is:

"In the final epic chapter in the story of the Flux, all hope is lost. The forces of darkness are in control. But when the monsters have won, who can you count upon to save the universe?"

I actually quite like those Sontarans as they were 'my' Sontarans and The Invasion of Time part four was one of the greatest cliffhangers i'd ever seen in Doctor Who.

Still is.

While I agree that the cliffhanger in 'The Invasion Of Time' *is* a great one, as far as I am concerned, the Sontarans will always be Linx and Styre from 'The Time Warrior' and 'The Sontaran Experiment'

I didn't see either of those on transmission sadly. The Time Warrior is great but i'm not all that keen on The Sontaran Experiment as a story. But as you say Styre looks the part.

Must admit i quite like The Two Doctors Sontarans.Again I think it must be because i actually saw them on the telly and it was a buzz.

The blue things were poor and whilst the recent ones looked the part it wasn't the greatest story to feature Sontarans.
