The Space Museum is unfairly slated, i absolutely love it. Comedy gold, and its meant to be. William Hartnell is outstanding in it. The way he deals with the mind probe interogation is terrific.

I watch all the new dvd's i get on a one episode a week basis, exactly how the show was transmitted (mostly). The Space Museum worked brilliantly like this.

Really hope you enjoy it.

Thanks - looking foward to it

Mmm - mind probes? They don't happen to run out of mind probes on Hartnell by any chance, do they? I remember in Frontier in Space the Doctor told an amusing story where he managed to get through a whole bunch of probes because they could not accept his story; I wonder if this could be the one.

I'm actually rewatching a couple of stories at the moment - the Seeds of Doom on a once a week basis. Baker is so deadly serious in the first couple of episodes of this (understandably given the threat); it's quite a departure for him.

I'm also rewatching Planet of the Daleks, probably closer to an all at once experience.

True. Planet could almost have been a third film for Peter Cushing, it lends itself to a one watch experience.

Best not to watch it if you have seen The Mutants / The Dead Planet story recently though.

The Thing, sorry, The Seeds of Doom is one of the classic stories.

who's been enjoying Hornet's Nest then?
decent enough stories i think, though Yates' character just seems to be a framing device at the moment....

Looking forward to The Sensorites and, in particular, The Daemons. Pertwee's early stories are terrific.

The Ambassadors Of Death was supposed to have been released this year, but is still undergoing some restoration work.

Watched episode one of Day of the Daleks with the new effects added.

Quite impressive really. The time travel effect used by the Ogrons is a nice swirling mass of yellow lights, and the Ogron guns now blow their victims apart and make for a very messy death. Probably best of all the effects is the cityscape in the future - almost Bladerunner style.

The Daleks are now voiced by Nick Pegg and sound menacing, unlike the thin weedy voices in the original version.

All in all, very impressive, looking forward to seeing part 2 at the weekend.
