DOCTOR: The mark of the Corsair. Fantastic bloke. He had that snake as a tattoo in every regeneration. Didn't feel like himself unless he had the tattoo. Or herself, a couple of times. Ooo, she was a bad girl.

A mate emailed me with some very unkind strong words regarding the episode.

I thought it was a fabulous, totally gripping episode, with the best 'introduction' to the Cybermen for years. I really hope they become an integral part of the second part.

I agree RTD used to mess up the second part on too many occasions ( I wasn't a great fan of RTD's writing anyway ).

Terrific performance from Michelle Gomez.

Really looking forward to next week's finale.

Dark Water was an excellent episode, maybe the best of the fantastic current season so far, I am not sure. I just try to imagine how big it would have hit home w/o all the rumours and discussions beforehand and those dillweeds on Facebook, who feel like they live on spoilers - but knowing the real enemy made me recognize that company logo, which is obviosly a hint for the tear at the eye

They had to announce the Cybermen as the monster, due to all the location filming in London.

What was wrong with making her The Rani then?
Would have been "gripping" if you hadn't seen the bloody Cybermen in the teaser.

Silver Nemesis was better.....
