I confess I have not!

Do we still get the 30 minute condensed dumbed down 'stories' and the who's who of z-grade soap opera 'talent' in supporting roles?

45 minute stories yes, but not especially dumbed down anymore, for the most part anyway.

Suzi can correct me if i'm wrong but i think the only name guest star was Frank Skinner who was pretty good in Mummy on the Orient Express - an excellent episode.

Not enjoying the way the Horror Channel have chopped up The Two Doctors btw. Regardless, I love this story more everytime I watch it. Cannibalism a gogo in a "kids show". Try and top that Moffat!!

The Two Doctors take a fair bit of slack but I've always really enjoyed it

The same can be said for Warriors of the Deep & The Twin Dilemma both of which I also like and happily re-watch despite most people stating they were real low points for the series.

I too like Warriors of the Deep. The only thing that lets it down to me was (not the Myrka) Ingrid Pitt. She was a little hammy i thought, especially her death which was embarrassing,

There were other guest stars, who might be considered famous!
  • Robot Of Sherwood had Ben Miller as the Sheriff and Rusty Goff as Little John
  • The Caretaker introduced Chris Addison as Seb
  • Mummy On The Orient Express alfo featured the singer Foxes and John Sessions as the voice of the computer Gus
  • In The Forest Of The Night had journalist Jenny Hill as herself
  • Death In Heaven featured Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Colonel Ahmed and Nick Frost as Santa Claus

Never really consider Jemma as a guest star, more like part of the team.

The only big name is Nick Frost really. It seemed there were bigger names in the show during the RT-D era.
