Holy crap, I'm enjoying current Who at the moment. Wow. It's been so long it almost feels like a new experience!

The ratings are going throught the floor, though.

The ratings should sort themselves out next season (hopefully) with the apparently much needed younger Doctor. Until then i'll just happily sit back and enjoy this series as i think whats coming up in the next few weeks should be terrific.
Doctor Who Worst Ever Overnights

1st) Battlefield 1 (McCoy, 1989): 3.1m
2nd )The War Games 10 (Troughton, 1969): 3.5m
3rd) Oxygen (Capaldi, 2017): 3.57m
4th) Battlefield 3 (McCoy, 1989): 3.6m
5th) Full Circle 2 (T. Baker, 1980): 3.7m
5th) Mysterious Planet 4 (C. Baker, 1986): 3.7m
5th) The Witches Familiar (Capaldi, 2015): 3.7m
5th) Under The Lake (Capaldi, 2015): 3.7m
9th) Thin Ice (Capaldi, 2017): 3.76m
10th) The Zygon Invasion (Capaldi, 2015): 3.87m
11th) Mysterious Planet 3 (C. Baker, 1986): 3.9m
11th) Battlefield 2 (McCoy, 1989): 3.9m

BUT...it was broadcast just before the Eurovision Song Contest. It stands to reason that while Doctor Who was on, people would be out getting drinks and food ready for the next programme

Because I was too young to have seen the Troughton stories, this was the first time I had seen the Cybermen, and I loved the fact that they had guns in their heads

That was cool!

BUT...even as an 8 year old child, I was not convinced by the story, and I remember turning to my older brother and asking: "if they are scared of gold, why are they going down to a planet that is made of gold?" and he just nodded his head, and wisely replied "you'll understand when you are older"

Well, I'm now older, and I still don't understand that plot implausibility!

Michelle Gomez has announced that she's leaving Doctor Who at the end of this series.

So any future Master stories will either be with John Simm (depending on what happens this series of course) or a new actor.
