I had one of those. Not really, but i did have the fourth Doctor story Full Circle on View Master, if anyone remembers them. Oddly as i got slightly older i was more interested in looking at my Buck Rogers reels. Not sure why. |

Re-watched The Ambassadors of Death again and also read the target novel for the first time. For the story that constantly gets dismissed as the weakest from Season 7, it is pretty great. I mean, it probably is, at least for me, still the weakest out of Spearhead, Silurians and Inferno, but its still really good. Those three Stories are solid competition, and one of them is possibly the best Story the show has ever released (Inferno), so if it can hold your own against them, it has to be worth something. Season 7 was probably the most consistently good Season/Series in the shows history. Sure you have Seasons 12, 13 etc but they have Sontaran Experiment and the Android Invasion holding them back, whereas Season 7 has no bad Stories, with all of them being exceptionally high quality. |

Popular music in 'Doctor Who' #64 Episode: 'The Rebel Flesh' (ii) Artist: Dusty Springfield Title: You Don't Have To Say You Love Me Notes: * Heard playing when The Doctor, Amy, and Rory arrived at the monastery-turned-factory and realize what is happening * It was originally a 1965 Italian song entitled "Io che non vivo (senza te)", ["I, who can't live (without you)"] by Pino Donaggio and Vito Pallavicini. Donaggio would later go on to work with Brian De Palma * When she first heard the 1965 version, Dusty Springfield was moved to tears, and she recorded a version the following year. It became her most successful single, reaching #1 on the UK Singles Chart * The song can be found on the 1967 compilation LP 'Dusty Springfield's Golden Hits'
