Since the change from stand-alone episodes to seasons with a coherent arc, both narrative and character, most of the juvenile humour has gone and the show now could easily be described as "satirical documentary".

I think South Park is brilliant and wouldn't be surprised if it is used in an academic way when looking back at sociopolitical events in America and around the world in decades to come.
keirarts and Cinematic Shocks like this.

I didn't like The Blackadder so much, a few good gags, but the character of Blackadder is so snivelly. but as my dad pointed out, they were just getting their footing i suppose

I feel the same in a lot of ways and actually sometimes skip that series altogether when I watch my box set and go straight to series 2.

And mine. I really struggle when it comes to picking a favourite series, loving different ones for different reasons, and different episodes for different reasons as well. Additionally, what I like can change with my mood, from clever to silly, well known to moving, so I don't think I'll ever tire of watching Bells; Ink and Incapability will always be a favourite, but so will be Goodbyeee, even though they could barely be more different.
