As I adore Mary Poppins, I was very hesitant and sceptical about Mary Poppins Returns, but I quickly relaxed at the cinema and found myself laughing and crying at different parts.

I've seen it a couple of times at home since then and it seems to improve with each viewing.

Andy and his mom are adjusting to life in a new city and while Andy struggles to make new friends and even more of a struggle to accepts his moms new boyfriend. To cheer him up his mom buys him a new Buddy doll but this isnt just any Buddy doll this is a special Buddy doll.

The first few Childs Play films are great but once the comedy started to take over i lost interest it just always felt cheap and annoying more than anything so it was nice to see a return to a more serious style. As soon as the film started i was just getting a good feeling right away the acting was all on point no annoying characters and it just felt a little darker. The new Chucky looks creepy as hell and Mark Hamills voice acting is amazing brings a whole new level of horror to Chucky. There are moments that will give you a little laugh but that more the characters and not a wise cracking Chucky. Once the killing starts boy is there a lot of gore the kills are all fun the make up effects all look brilliant and there are buckets and buckets of blood spraying left right and center FANTASTIC.

I have to say i loved this film after putting if off for so long i was really taken by surprise id definitely recommend it i have to add that the kid playing Andy was brilliant himself he was relatable in ways and totally believable.

From a unknown director and a bunch of actors I never heard of , this becomes a fast paced adrenaline non stop action flick with plenty of shootouts, tense moments and good fight scenes. Director Gareth Evans isn't biased about who gets killed, the body count on both sides mount up, even the main actor Rama gets his fair share of ass kicking. Definitely one film that gets better with every watch.

Absolutely agree, one of those films you never get tired of watching, if people ask me for a action film I always ask if they've seen this, action done right and not Micheal bay style tripe , 2nd and equally as good.

Did you like the last two regular Child's Play films, Nordy?

Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky. I thought they were both excellent. Curse a full blown Gothic slasher and Cult a slasher in an asylum. Neither were comedies.

I've got the full collection twice, once on DVD then I found the blu ray next to nothing so bought that as well but kept the DVD.

I thought the second film was really poor.

I hated Seed of Chucky but these two were a real return to form, actually my favourites of the whole series.

I need to watch those last 2 Chucky films as well, never got around to it. I enjoyed the reboot though, has some great bits in it.
