Werewolf Of Woodstock sounds pretty interesting

I bought a whole load of VHS at a boot sale yesterday for 50p and watched one last night. A big box of Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes - I actually didn't think it was that bad. Sure it was pretty stupid and predictable but fun nonetheless. I rememeber reading the book of it and thinking it was utter crap after about 10 pages. I may have to give it another chance - although I could've sworn that the book was an anthology of stories, not just based on the lamp.

6/10

I had a very nice Grindhouse evening a few days ago.

I started with Machete - and I really liked it. Great cast and lots of action scenes - irresistible.

Next was, of course, the original Grindhouse. Starting off with a trailer for a movie you just finished watching a minute ago - well, that's what could happen at a real Grindhouse back in the day, I guess.
Planet Terror - stupid, trashy and amiable as usual. Already a classic.
Werewolf Women of the SS (Fake trailer) - a must see just because of Nicolas Cage.
Don't (Fake trailer) - I wanted to write something about this - but this voice keeps telling me: Don't!
Thanksgiving (Fake trailer) - apart from Cabin Fever, this is the best Eli Roth has ever made.
Death Proof - one of Tarantino's greatest; fantastic soundtrack, übercool Kurt Russell, and hot cars!
Hobo with a Shotgun (Fake trailer) - a great way to end a stupid and hilarious evening.

I can really recommend such an event.

Greetings!

Just watched The Head (1959),solid German Euro chiller that predates The Brain That Wouldn't Die.
The Dr. Ood character always reminds me of Herbert West...

Just watched The Nesting on VHS. It was alright but nothing special imo. A high 4.5/10

just seen the made for TV movie Bond of Silence.

Its a drama based on a true story about this group of teens and one member kills a guy and then there is a investigation while all the teens get together and stay silent.

It was surprisingly quite good for a TV movie and with good all around acting.

Watched From Beyond The Grave a few nights ago. Even though I pretty much guessed what would happen in every story, it had a nice slice of black humour thrown in to keep it a fun little movie! I really enjoyed the segment "An Act of Kindness" as that was the one segment where the ending took me a little by surprise! "The Elemental" was also great, with its intentionally darkly funny storyline. Of course, I also found myself smiling everytime a new segment started, and the man trying to rob the antique shop had to keep going back into hiding
All in all a very enjoyable little film!

Horror of Frankenstein with commentary, am liking this more and more...

watched most of Asylum with comm (the amicus 1)
also...the Beast must die!! an odd film, but then i always thought this, so cest la vie...interesting comm revealing the films chequered history btw...
