Yeah - good call ! The Ice Warrior was excellent. A new story with a Slaar (?) type Commander would be interesting.

Doctor Who: Steven Moffat wants a Sleep No More sequel | Den of Geek

Yes! You've read it here first. Steven Moffat wants a sequel. Will Gatiss be back to write it? Or will Moffat and his beloved pal Gatiss co-write the episode?

SAINTS PRESERVE US! OR GOD HELP US if it turns out to be a reality.

The "how" might be interesting, but if, so please do not make use of that long outdated and mostly horrible these day Found Footage style, I think that killed te episode. The story may have been one of the weaker ones, agreed, but for me the FF style made it a real stinker for me. I also found that this style was presented in a way to cheaty way, to many camera positions for example... The acting was ok, although there was one scene where Peter just stood at the side and looked a bit confused, I am not sure if the Doctor was supposed to be confused at that point...

I totally agree that the RT-D designs were far superior to all of Moffats. Although i did like the Ice Warrior (until it opened up which just wasn't needed)
Can you imagine what the late Brian Hayles - (creator of the Ice Warriors) would of said about that. That's what killed the episode for me. I prefer the mystery of not knowing what's under the mask. But of course, Moffat decided to unleash the beast within. Such a shame though.

To be honest reviews of this series isnt that good.

And people always mention their old favourite dr who episode

But whats youre favourite episode since its returned?

Blink with the weeping angels was excellent
I enjoyed think it was called gridlock
Im tired and cant be arsed to google it
Cant remember the name im sure it was in 2parts its was during the war with the children and their face turned into a gas mask
Now to me thats how a episode of dr who should be it was dark, eerie, scary, atmospheric, and freaky as well. How dr who should be
There probably a few if i racked my brain but its 5am in the morn and ive just got in from work

The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances 2 parter from 2005 is the one you're referring to, and I agree. It's still the best new series story for me. I also liked the Angels 2 parter from series 5 with Matt Smith and Amy.

TBH I'm a 29 year fan and I've stopped watching. Really dislike the current direction of the program. I've never liked the new series as much as the original but the last few years it's just become unbearable for me. Sorry.

What makes you say that?

The Doctor Who News page always publishes the reviews from the press the day after and on the whole they are always positive.

Doctor Who News: Sleep No More - Press Reaction

Even the last episode which was divisive among fans was largely positive from the press.
