Did you find the twist with the female character near the end somewhat enfuriating? Dont want to go intospoiler mode but I'm sure you know what i'm refering to!
Not infuriating as such. I think I was too bored to care by that point.

I dunno, it all just washed over me and made no impact whatsoever.

So have I, which is why I'm going to see it and make up my own mind.

Last week I watched:

WHat did you think of King Of Thorn, Nos?

It was in cinemas here about 3 years ago now, and it only just got a DVD/blu ray release.

Last night I watched my blu-ray of The Hobbit. I was trying to complete my German tax return documentation at the same time (one of the joys of being a recent ex-pat is you get to do two tedious tax returns a year one for the Bund and the other for Her Majesties Inspector of Taxes), so my mind wasn't fully on the film. But, I enjoyed it much more at home than I did at the Cinema. PerhapsI'll take my U.K. tax return documentation when I go to see the next instalment at Christmas.

I thought it was pretty good and, because of the ending and the two language tracks, will watch it again before writing a review so I'll hold off forming a definite opinion until after the second viewing. One thing is certain: I haven't seen an anime like it before.

Universal Monsters strike again in "House of Frankenstein". With Karloff too old to wear the make-up the creature is portrayed by Glen Strange (too much lippy for my taste).

Not film as such but first episode of Zombieland just didn't rate it at all,
Think it one of those shows where they are trying to hard to make a hit and just end up make a load of rubbish.

Phantasm 2. Scream factory's release looks great and the film is as good as it ever was. Now lets have the rest on blu please!

Hollywood homocide. Great looking release from mill creek. Shame the films still somewhat slight and poorly written. Nontheless the double bill is still great value for the second film and its still entertaining.

Hudson Hawk. Very much an underrated gem imo. Probably a vanity piece for Willis I still find the film lots of fun. Certainly one due for a reappraisal sometime soon.
