Oh - the 'complete season 8' DVD comes in a slim case, not the bulky box that the previous 'complete series' releases have come in

Have a look at this sadly incomplete site to see what extras are on the discs.

Seriously B_E you can't go wrong.

I'd check out the BBC shop before plunging into Amazon as well.

If you feel like taking the plunge today i have a code for £5 off on orders of £35 or more. Send me a PM if you want it.

Thanks for the info Dem (and Suzi), and whilst I won't be taking the plunge today (probably after Xmas) I will take your advice onboard and check out the BBC shop too. I want to be quite strict in what I pick up though, as otherwise I can see myself buying the whole lot - many of which probably won't get viewed more than once

It's deleted Suzi. Those are marketplace sellers with their daft prices. The BBC shop doesn't stock it anymore.

You're right. I have just read the small print - "In stock Sold by HalfpriceDVDS_FBA and Fulfilled by Amazon. Gift-wrap available."

Caught most of Battlefield on some channel or other (Watch?) when I was in London. Jean Marsh certainly enjoying herself etc. Another one to add.....

Watched me Deadly Assassin, ah the memories it brought back....when I still had all my teeth etc.
Ahem.

Tomb of the Cybermen (which is actually one of my all time favourite Who stories) is (typically) almost triple the price of most of the others though.

I'm generally out of the loop where Who is concerned (as this thread tends to be a battleground for how good/bad that poor imitation of Who is/was/will be).

Are the BBC DVDs decent? The prices are certainly reasonable but just wanted to get folks' opinions before I commit.
What Dem said. The ones youve mentioned are all essential releases imho. Feature filled really, except WOF ahem.

Doctor Who: Is Jenna Coleman leaving or staying?

I like Clara. I think that the chemistry between her and Capaldi is really good (and she is very easy on the eye!)

Hopefully if she does stay another six episodes or longer she will actually travel in the Tardis and not just get called on occasionally.
